  1. Only the Lord in his sovereignty can plant faithful and lasting churches.
  2. Our leadership should continually develop a culture of prayer for church planting, prayer for the calling of church planters, and careful discernment of plant leaders from our membership.  An ANiC culture of prayer will undergird any advance in church planting.
  3. The key agency of church planting is an engaged planting parish and planters with a clear calling and a plan.
  4. Churches that are unable to plant can be encouraged to pray and to survey their membership for potential planters.
  5. A strong couple is often at the heart of a successful plant.
  6. The goal of planting is that the churches will endure, and that they will become financially self-reliant, as well as inter-dependent and collaborative with their sister churches in the Diocese and Province.
  7. Planting is not historically in the modern Canadian Anglican DNA.  It is a major shift in mindset.  We should do the work to cast a vision on an ongoing basis in every church in ANiC.
