In just a few weeks, ANiC Churches have adapted to meeting Online. Many Sunday services are recorded for Facebook, or watched live. Smaller churches are able to meet face to face on Zoom.
Cornerstone in Sarnia has taken things one step further. They have a full program online weekly including: Bible Study, Youth Group, Men's Life Group, Children's ministry, a group for their project in London, Ontario, plus offerings of pastoral care and prayer.
ANiC's Director of Communications, Scott Hunt has been working vigorously to assist Parishes with this huge shift. Our Province has also held many online workshops and provided many resources. The clergy and parish leaders have been adept at making the changes.
Saint Matthew's in Abbotsford, B.C., has a pre-recorded Morning Prayer on Facebook, followed by a Coffee Hour on Zoom to keep the family together. They have sessions for youth ministry and children's ministry, plus multiple mid-week programs and services.
Evangelist Joe Pienaar is on hold in England waiting to bring his family to a Church Planting ministry on the North Shore of Vancouver. He is offering an online Alpha to people in the area that he hasn't met yet!
